Everything you need to know about the Allalin Race

The first Allalin race took place in 1946. Back then, nine young skiers set off from the summit of the 4027-metre-high Allalinhorn and embarked on a spectacular adventure, with the finish line at Saas-Fee, 2227 meters below. Only five skiers mastered the unprepared route to the finish. Today, the start is in the ski resort and the course is prepared in the best possible way before the race.

Belalp-Hexe

The craziest popular descent in Switzerland!

A 12-kilometre-long downhill slope, 1800 meters of altitude difference and lots of hustle and bustle on the slopes. The fascination of the Belalp Hexe has several facets. On the one hand, fearlessly ambitious racers plunge down the snow-covered slopes of the Belalp and fight for every hundredth of a second. On the other hand, the Belalp Witches form the backdrop to this extraordinary popular downhill race in the Aletsch region. Once they reach the finish line, the witches celebrate the hottest après-ski party in Switzerland together with the racers.

Inferno Mürren

One of the longest amateur ski races in the world.

The varied, special topography is what makes this 14.9 km long route so attractive, which can also be ridden outside of the race. Good all-rounders will get their money's worth here. What is required are clean downhill turns in the start section, a portion of courage in the cannon tube, arm strength and a good skating stride in the middle section and a strong will to persevere in the final section.
